JIM BUOY Star Plate Mooring System – Star Plate Only

Unlike rod systems, where the only reliable attachment point is at the bottom of the buoy, this hardware system brings your mooring chain up through your center tube-style mooring buoy to the top, where the high-strength ring forms a convenient attachment point for your mooring pendant.

The Star Plate Mooring System is an accessory for Jim Buoy models 4403-T and 4404-T Mooring Buoys. Can only be used with 3″ diameter tube-style mooring buoys, as the large 3/4″ shackle must fit inside the tube. 

Key Features

• Large 5/8″ x 6″ diameter ring (sold separately) fits securely in the slotted opening of the star plate
• Ring is held in a fixed upright position by constant tension from the chain weight, always ready for a quick and easy tieup
• Rugged 1/4″ thick x 6″ diameter concave star plate is designed to fit the top of your buoy and prevent “pull through”
• Routine inspection is a must for all mooring systems and the Jim Buoy model #4000  provides easy and visible inspection of ALL points of wear
• All parts are cast hot-dipped galvanized steel construction
• Chain and shackle sold separately for a custom fit to your mooring
